Protect Fairmount

This site is dedicated to maintaining the character of the Fairmount community as described in the Jefferson County North Plains Area Plan. As stated in that document, "Today, the community of Fairmount possesses a semi-rural character with lower density residential development interspersed with agricultural uses. It retains a country feeling with remnants from early agriculture, including irrigation ditches, fence lines, tree rows, a few farmsteads, barns and grain silos." We try to accomplish this by providing current and prospective residents with information about various planned and proposed development projects as well as a perspective on how those projects might impact the community if they are developed. use the "Projects" menu above to select and explore a specific project.
